Job Description



Job Title: Focus Group & Consumer Behavior Senior Specialist
Division: Marketing
Section: Strategic Marketing
Unit: Research
Report to: Research Manager

Main Job Purpose:

The primary objective of this role is to design, conduct, and analyze focus group studies to gather valuable insights
into consumer preferences, attitudes, and behaviors. Furthermore, develop research methodologies, analyze data,
and prepare reports to help shape our product development, marketing strategies, and overall business decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Plan, coordinate, and facilitate focus group sessions, including participant recruitment, session
moderation, and data collection.
2. Develop research methodologies that effectively address business questions, ensuring alignment
with overall strategic objectives.
3. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, patterns, and consumer insights.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings.
4. Utilize behavioral research techniques to understand consumer motivations, decision-making
processes, and brand perceptions.
5. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales,
to communicate insights and drive strategic recommendations.
6. Stay informed about market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to enhance
research effectiveness and relevance.
7. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, sharing best practices in focus group
facilitation and consumer research methodologies.
8. Ensure compliance with ethical standards and data privacy regulations in all research activities.
9. Continuously improve research processes and methodologies to enhance the quality and
efficiency of insights gathered.
10. Present research findings to senior management and stakeholders, providing actionable
recommendations.
11. Manage the budget and resources allocated for focus group studies to ensure cost-effective
research operations.

3. Consumer Behavior Analysis and Modeling: Ability to analyze and model consumer behavior.
4. Data Visualization and Reporting: Skills in visualizing data and creating comprehensive reports.
5. Statistical Analysis and Software Proficiency: Proficiency in statistical analysis and relevant
software tools.
6. Project Management and Research Planning: Expertise in planning and managing research projects.
7. Ethical Research Practices: Commitment to conducting research ethically and responsibly.
8. Behavioral Economics Knowledge: Understanding of behavioral economics principles and their
application in research.

Job Requirements (Education, Training or certificates, Experience, Language):

▪ Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics or a related field.
▪ Training or Certificates: Certified Market Research Professional (CMRP) | Moderator Training: Focus
Groups and IDIs preferred.
▪ Experience: 1-3 years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or related field, with a
focus on qualitative research methods.
▪ Languages: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
