Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the continuous availability and reliability of systems and related components, including hardware and host operating systems, by established guidelines, procedures, and industry best practices. This role involves collaborating with the Cloud and Infrastructure team, systems administrators, application support personnel, and business unit owners to ensure the timely delivery of service level agreements (SLAs).
Duties & responsibilities:
1. Perform day-to-day administrative tasks for Linux infrastructure systems.
2. Support existing Linux systems and manage new hardware implementations, expansions,
configurations, and software/firmware upgrades.
3. Participate in root cause analysis for significant issues and recommend and implement
improvements.
4. Ensure support expectations are met or exceeded, including planning for new or upgraded Linux
systems.
5. Administer I/O operations and activities on server systems.
6. Perform system tuning and optimization to ensure peak performance and uptime, complying with
established SLAs.
7. Work with RedHat OpenShift operations.
8. Manage VMware vSphere infrastructure (versions 6.x, 7.x), including Esxi.
9. Work with automation and delivery tools such as Ansible and RedHat Satellite.
10. Administer the operation of Ubuntu/RedHat Linux, Docker and Kubernetes

(e.g., Red Hat, and Ubuntu)
2. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Proficient in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloudbased solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
3. Virtualization and Containerization: Expertise in virtualization technologies and container
orchestration platforms
4. Monitoring and Performance Tuning: Ability to monitor system and application performance and
address bottlenecks.
5. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Proficiency in backup solutions and designing disaster recovery
plans for cloud and Linux systems.
6. Automation and Scripting: Strong ability to automate repetitive tasks and streamline operations.
7. Troubleshooting and Incident Response: Strong diagnostic skills for resolving incidents in cloud
and Linux environments.
Qualifications required:
Education:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field.
Experience:
▪ 6 – 8 years experience as an expert or equivalent in an advanced enterprise-class IT environment,
with hands-on experience in mid to large Linux, and Containerization-based solutions.
▪ Experience in shell/Python scripting with at least one shell under Linux.
Languages:
▪ Fluent in English/Arabic (Written& Spoken)
