Main Job Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of fiber network infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted customer experiences aligned with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). By driving these efforts, the role directly enhances the organization’s operational performance by improving network reliability, reducing downtime, and exceeding customer expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop fiber optic networks, ensuring compliance with standards and customer
specifications.
2. Conduct site surveys to determine the best installation paths and techniques.
3. Create detailed schematics for fiber optic networks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
4. Execute the installation of fiber networks, ensuring proper alignment, signal strength, and data
transfer rates.
5. Perform regular tests and maintenance on fibers, systems, and associated equipment to minimize
downtime and data loss.
6. Update and maintain project documentation and system records.
7. Mentor technical staff and users in fiber network operations and maintenance.
8. Troubleshoot and rectify field problems, responding quickly to network outages.
9. Maintain the inventory of fiber cables and their accessories, ensuring proper storage and availability.
10. Support the documentation process for modernization and expansion projects.

Technical Competencies
1. Fiber cables Troubleshooting: Ability to use diagnostic tools and techniques to quickly identify and
resolve issues with fiber cables.
2. Network Repair and Maintenance: knowledge of fiber optic cable systems, including splicing,
termination, and repair procedures.
3. New Service Installation: Expertise in planning, path drawing, and deploying new fiber installations
according to standard practices and customer requirements.
4. Service Level Agreement(SLA)Adherence: Ability to coordinate and prioritize work activities to ensure
new services are delivered within the target SLA.
5. Proactive and preventive Maintenance Procedures: understanding of implementing
recommended activities and schedules to optimize fiber cable network performance and
lifespan.
6. Inventory Management: Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and tracking the inventory of
fiber cables, closures, ODFs, and associated accessories.
Qualifications
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
• 5-6 years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of fiber optic Cable
networks.
• Knowledge of Fiber Optic Network Technologies.
• Experience in Splicing Fiber Optic Cables, using OTDR and other related tools and equipment.
Certificates Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) from the Fiber Optic Association (FOA) is Preferred.
Language
Intermediate English and Arabic language (Written &Spoken).
